Every business tries to deliver good customer service, but the standards of customer service from business to business can vary greatly. To ensure your employees provide good customer service, it has to be part of the company ethos. For example, if the managing director of a company doesn’t value customer service, how can you expect someone more junior in the company to take it seriously?
Another important element of guaranteeing good customer service is to train your staff properly. All staff need to be completely clear on what their authority levels are. You don’t want to create a situation where an employee doesn’t know what decisions he or she can and cannot make.
