The Local Brand : Mission

Started in 2013 as a conceptual media project for local business brands, TheLocalBrand.com  has evolved into a diverse platform which goes beyond media. It has developed into a user generated knowledge base on small and medium enterprises. TLB attracts many  business owners, industry experts and academic researchers who find our website as a unique place to find information, share thoughts and present new ideas. What has remained unchanged is our vision to help small business brands around the world. We are a growing community of contributors who have been writing about brand development, entrepreneurship and SME ecosystem in various industry sectors including Technology, Lifestyle, Healthcare, Education and Food. We keep our readers informed with social and cultural trends too. So far we have evolved as a resource website for the academics and business professionals alike. However, we reaffirm our goal to be more than a media project. For that we need your support. We want your encouragement and your ideas to propel this website towards more diverse hub for growing brands.

How we help SME businesses?

Our website allows you to share your articles and posts. Our expert editors review and edit your posts and publish the articles with appropriate references to other sources. Our focus has always remained on entrepreneurship, small businesses, local brands and startups. Over the time we have emerged as a favorite source for academic researchers and students who find the content on TheLocalBrand.com more knowledge enhancing than many other popular blogs. Since our contributors come from unique experiences in local markets that are usually ignored in mainstream media, we have built our own reputation as an independent news source. TLB is a favorite place to contribute for business owners, brand experts, marketing specialists, innovators etc. From time to time we review local brands and post our favorite picks in a particular industry category. We also have a directory listing where you can add your business by simply logging in.

Whenever someone mentions the term brand, a lot of people automatically assume this has something to do with major corporations such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s or Facebook. Still, branding can be of as much use to smaller local corporations during their initial stages. Sure, the scale of these branding efforts is much smaller due to the restricted budget and the specific needs of the local market, but there are some other (minor) differences that need to be taken into consideration.
