How Smartphones Changed In Store Shopping Thumb

Nearly everyone is glued to their smartphone these days. It’s easy to forget that up to very recently, this wasn’t the norm at all. The iPhone is in fact 10 years old this year but as each iteration is released they become more and more advanced. Our smartphone is no longer a phone and we use it for a wide range of activities. As this infographic from the CUBE outlines, the use of smartphones is now extremely prominent while we shop, and not just online. For example, in 2016, 37% of retail sales were influenced by a digital transaction.

People are now regularly checking reviews and prices of items in-store online. Remember that this doesn’t always mean that they’re going to buy the product online as people often just like to check out a product online before buying. As long as the product is reasonably priced, the majority of customers will go ahead and buy the product in your store. Find out more in the infographic.
