Colour is a powerful influencing tool when it comes to marketing and logo design, with 80% of the visual information we receive coming from the colour of a logo alone. Capable of invoking specific psychological reactions in a viewer, the right colour choice can subconsciously tell someone a lot about your business.

However, these psychological responses do vary depending on which industry it is being associated with. Take for example, the colour red is often used in food industries as it is an attention-grabbing colour and is even thought to stimulate hunger. However, the same colour used in the airline industry is used to invoke a sense of warmth and caring, commonly associated as desirable traits of its staff.

So, which colour is correct for you and your brand? This informative infographic by Towergate Insurance illustrates which industries prefer which colours and the psychological reasoning as to why that might be the case.
