This is because of the massive expansion that United States Latino population has seen in recent years. The 2010 United States Census marked a 45 percent growth in the country’s Latino population, which means that Latinos now make up 1/4th of the entire country’s population. This means that in order for a company to survive, they need to ensure that they are attractive to Latino consumers. One way to attract a Latino client base to your business is making sure you are properly using cross-cultural marketing strategies. Here are some ways in which you can attract Latino customers to your business.

Companies have understood for years how important it is that they market to Hispanic audiences if they want to be successful in their industries. Many companies have reached out to Latinos through traditional marketing methods. They have modified the communication of their advertisements and slogans so that they are more appealing to the Hispanic audiences. Many companies have even started advertising in Spanish as well as English so that they can reach out to Latinos and non-English speaking audiences. These strategies have however not been enough to attract and hold the attention of Latino customers.

The reason that these Latino marketing methods have not been successful is because they are still not doing enough to attract Latino populations. In order to attract a Latino client base, it is imperative that you start marketing through online outlets. The reason traditional marketing outlets have not been enough to hold a steady Latino client base is because of the way in which Latinos use the internet as well as social media sites. According to a study conducted by Google, over 80% of the Hispanic population accesses the internet. This number is higher than any other ethnic group in the United States. It is for this reason that it is so important to use internet strategies when marketing to a Latino client base.

Latinos and Social Media

One of the best ways to attract a Latino client base is through advertising on social media websites. Studies show that more Latinos use social media than any other ethnic group. This should not be surprising considering the average age of social media users is 17-25 and the median age of Latinos in the United States is 20. Using social media sites is a great way to reach out to Latino customers. Social media is a great platform in which companies can specifically advertise to a wide population of Latino Americans and offer them incentives to do business with their company.

This type of marketing is possibly the most efficient way to market to Latinos because they are the most likely to take advantage of advertisements that provide incentives to shop with a certain company. According to the study done by Google, 61 percent of Latino customers were influenced to shop at a certain company based on online advertisements they saw or received. This is an alarmingly high rate considering that the average for the general population was 39 percent. These statistics prove that advertising to Latinos through the use of social media advertisements and email incentives is the most effective way to increase the Latino customer base of your company.

More Important Than Ever

The culture of the United States is one that is always in flux due to the fact that the ethnicities that make up its population are constantly changing. For this reason companies have had to learn to market to different population groups in order for them to survive in their market. Now that Latino Americans make up 1/4th of the entire population of the United States, it is more important than ever to the survival of your company that you learn how to market to Latino populations. The best way to target and market to Latino clients is through the use of social media advertisements. While this is not the traditional way in which companies usually market their products, using social media to market your company is the best way in which your business will be able to successfully market to a Latino client base.
