untold story of e-waste

Here is a compelling infographic about e-waste. What happens to all those cell phones and tablets that we buy compulsively and then within a year run to buy new ones just because we got bored of our devices? In many cases the devices that we simply dispose haven’t even lost their brand new gadget smell. Whether parents consider giving their preteen (and even younger) kids expensive gadgets a hip thing, we can certainly say that it is an alarming trend. Kids have almost vanished from community parks and are increasingly getting uninterested in outdoor sports. It may help them being ahead of the game but growing attachment to electronic devices and social media addiction may prove a health hazard in future. Well, at least the environmental effects of exponential increase in e-waste certainly pose a grave threat to our existence.
