Heart diseases are becoming dangerous killer in India. It kills the people more than cancer. Unfortunately, these silent diseases do not manifest their symptoms till it is too later. Our busy schedule and responsibilities make it difficult for us to pay attention on our health. Everyone should be aware about its symptoms and signs so we can take a timely better treatment on it.
Largely due to today’s unhealthy lifestyle, heart diseases are becoming more prevalent among Indians. So it’s become important to know your personal risk for heart disease. Risk factors are conditions or habits that increase your risks of developing a disease. Understand your risks to prevent heart diseases.
Usual risk factors for heart related conditions include smoking, diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure etc. Symptoms are mostly (but not necessarily) chest pain, breathlessness, rapid heartbeat and edema. Heart diseases can be prevented by switching to healthy diet, regular exercise and by managing your weight. If you are a smoker then quitting might help. Regular health checkups also go a long way in minimizing the risks.
