More newspapers in America are now charging to read the online version of their newspapers. Once upon a time, many thought that newspapers would struggle to encourage people to pay for the online edition, but times have now changed.
There are a couple of different digital subscriptions to choose from but the metered model is the most popular. This model allows readers to view a certain number of articles before being asked to pay to continue reading. This has proven to be a successful modern for the New York Times and other newspapers around the world.
