The potential for pandemics is probably one of the scariest predictions of the modern world. With so many unknown quantities even the World Health Organisation is urging people not to ignore the fact that sometime in the future a pandemic will kill between 80-90 million people.

There are plenty of theories and hypothetical situations about just where a potentially deadly virus will come from and the possible devastation it will cause. Scientists are preparing and working on vaccines that may be needed should there be a global pandemic outbreak, with The World Health Organisation Global Vaccine Plan already in place.
