Using a mix of various kinds of characters including capital letters, numbers, symbols and lower case letters can ensure that the password is strong and hard to crack. Other important points to remember is that passwords should not contain your company name, real name, should not be a single word from the dictionary, no ties to personal information nor should it be your username.
