A few years ago, Nokia was not just a mobile company name but a synonym of trust that changed millions of people’s lives and made them happy. It came in the industry with a tag line “Connecting People” and it was truly succeeded in doing that. Nokia ruled the industry for over a decade with no glitches. Nobody can ever forget those durable handsets, long-lasting battery, the game of Snake and that reliability only Nokia could give us. Nokia’s journey has been successful with plethora of innovations. The Dominance of Nokia in the cellular spotlight was seen for years with exceptionally good hardware along with its Symbian Operating System. September 3, 2013 was the day when Software giant Microsoft officially announced the acquisition of Nokia’s Devices and Services Business. To revitalize the old times, we have compiled a list of its 5 top notch handsets.

Nokia 7650

It was the first ever smartphone of Nokia family powered by the Symbian Series 60. It came with the VGA camera, Bluetooth, Infrared remote and a web browser. This feature-packed phone was the stepping stone of Nokia’s dominance in the smartphone world.

Nokia 6600

nokia6600This Symbian smartphone was way too hard to forget. Over a millions of units were sold out all over the world when it launched in 2003. It was packed with Bluetooth, Infrared remote, camera, expandable memory using an MMC card and compatibility with thousand of apps.

Nokia N-Gage

N-Gage was a delightful gift from Nokia to all the games around the world. There were thousands of games being demanded and that increased the appetite of gamers and then Nokia came up with its N-Gage series in 2003. It was meant to be held sideways so that games could be played without any trouble.

The Communicators

Nokia launched communicators to cater all the needs of a business phone. They became powerful status symbol though their size was way much bigger to fit in a pocket. They were designed to be used as normal phones to make a call that’s why they had a small screen with numeric keypad on the outside but when something extra was needed, it could be opened up and placed on a table and a long email could be typed on its super-wide display with QWERTY keypad.

Nokia 808

Nokia 808 makes our list as it was the last of the Symbian smartphones. Nokia put all its camera phone innovations that gained over a very long career to make this phone much superior in its class. This device featured a 41 Megapixel camera that capable of taking pleasing pictures with its Carl Zeiss optics.
