Lab Information Management System or the LIMS is a relatively un-glamorous sounding piece of software but it’s importance can not be understated since it is making the lives of many people easier by changing the way medical data is recorded. Medical labs are switching to LIMS from traditional record keeping because it is faster and more efficient. Patients benefit from LIMS because it pools information from scattered systems.
