More recently the matter of sustainability has become a concern with a certain urgency to it. It’s not that buildings have not been made with green and eco-friendly materials in the past, its just the rapid urbanization which has made us shift to more synthetic and cheaper alternatives which are not necessarily as eco-friendly. We have seen countries coping up with potentially hazardous building materials, especially asbestos. We can’t say that even the developed countries have put those things behind yet. We are still trying to balance the cost with health risks and the decision to build houses with the safest materials is a tough one. We recently received an infographic suggestion from Ghergich & Co. about sustainable building materials. We thought that you might find it interesting:
